Autonomous weather plane passion project

As a plane designer, I embarked on an iterative process of aircraft development. Utilizing SolidWorks, I designed and 3D printed three distinct airplane prototypes using aero PLA filament for rapid prototyping. To bring these designs to life, I developed a sophisticated control system. I wrote MicroPython code to interface a PS5 controller with the aircraft, enabling precise flight control.
Furthermore, I designed and implemented custom circuitry, integrating sensors, an ESP32 microcontroller, and a Raspberry Pi Pico to gather flight data and enhance overall performance. To ensure optimal flight characteristics, I devised a DIY system to distribute weight effectively using pens and wood, optimizing the aircraft's center of gravity.
